The Mad Hatters Many Hats

nique

[yoo-neek]

Willy Wonka, Edward Scissorhands, Ichabod Crane, Ed Wood, Captain Jack Sparrow, Sweeny Todd, John Dillinger, "Crybaby" Walker... Yes I am talking about Johnny Depp! While I do not want to mislead you into thinking I am a crazed Johnny Depp fan, because really I am not, what I am, however, is intrigued by his roles. Unique, is absolutely what his characters are, and I love that. When I go to a movie he is in, I know that the character is not one he has played before. That is what piques my interest!

Think about it, there is truth to what I am saying. Not many actors have truly unique character roles. It is the same role with a different name in every movie. Jackie Chan for instance, great actor, makes us laugh, always some type of kick but role over and over. And yes don't get me wrong, some of my absolute favorite actors play recurring roles, gosh some of my favorite moves have the same theme... boy and girl, love, happily ever after... a.k.a chick flicks. ha! Take even the actor who plays Harry Potter, I don't even know his name, he is just Harry Potter and in 10 years when he is in a movie he'll still be Harry Potter! And again don't get me wrong I am a fan of HP, 28 years old and into the books and so excited when a new film is released! Could you have guessed that? But the point , back to the point here, can you really say that about Johnny Depp ? No you cannot, his characters are truly unique! Truly memorable because they are different!

Alice in Wonderland

So now, a new character... The Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. I asked Danny if we could go to the movies to see it while he is home. He surprised me, and got us tickets to see Alice, this Sunday night, at the IMAX in 3D. I love my husband, he always goes the extra mile for me! I cannot wait to see it, a lot of great actors and actresses, a lot of talent, and the story itself a lot lot lot of bizarre... ohhhhh the memories begin, Caterpillar, the Queen of Hearts, tweedle dee, tweddle dum, Cheshire cat... and the list keeps going... Thanks again baby, I am so excited and I won't be late for our very important date! ha!

Cube Update

Well. I guess it's official, I have moved into my new cube at work! I put a small bit of my own style into it and now I guess I'll have to stay a while. Ha, as if I ever though otherwise! My new position is still going well and I am learning so much each day. It is my prayer that my past clinical experience continues to be helpful/insightful during this transition. I am thank God for the small accomplishments I have made so far.
A side note funny- Danny bought me a IPod player/ Radio for my desk. I was so excited to use it and not have to use earphones! Well on the lowest volume setting it is too loud! I am still trying to figure out ways to make it work but I was so disappointed. It's funny though because every morning when I get to work I insert my Ipod and turn it on. hmmm I guess I just think the volume will be miraculously lower then the day before! And it never is of course! ha! So I just turn it all the way down and continue to let it play, glancing over at various times during the day to see what is playing and then sing it quietly in my head, and sometimes I dance in my little chair! Did I just write that? Call me crazy! ha! I wonder if anyone else has weird habits that that just make the day a little more fun? I would love to not be the only one...

A Fairytale Ending

Ahhh to be in love... My very sweet husband made me dinner tonight since I had to work today! He is the best! Today he also cleaned and gave all the pups a much needed bath! Ha! We had a funeral this weekend and everyone said our story is like a fairytale, well I am not sure about that, but I am sure that we are so blessed to have each other. Each day together or apart means so much to me. God has been so generous to us. Danny just keeps me laughing and smiling all the time. So a fairytale it is, just imagine, me, Cinderella got the prince and the glass slipper a.k.a manolo blahnik!

Welcome Home

"Dear Mommy and Daddy-
Thanks for letting me hang out in the kitchen and sunroom today with Beanie and Roxy while you were away! It was a nice change from my crate! To show you my appreciation and how much I missed you, I changed a few things while you were gone! To start, I hope you enjoyed the 5 spots of pee on I left the floor, How I drug all the carpets around to the places I thought they looked best, and how I pulled all of the buttons out of your chair cushions and left them scattered all around the sunroom floor. But don't be mad at me I just really really really missed you; and you already knew that I am super ornery! ha! But sadly, I am guessing that you didn't like my fung shway because the look on your face as you walked into the kitchen was not happy :( So I will make it up to you by giving you lots of kisses and batting my big brown eyes at you and jumping up in you lap and just looking so darn cute that you couldn't possibly be mad at me! I ruff you very much and I am glad you are home now and the next time you leave I will be a better puppy.... I promise"

XO- Little Maggie

Dear Maggie-

We love you so much and you are way to cute to be mad at, just look at that face! And yes, you are right, you will be much better puppy next time... because the next time we leave you will be in your crate! All our love...
