Watch Dog Security System

Let me introduce my Watch Dog Security system! It's really great and there is a deal, 3 for the price of 1! Even better than my current ADT system! Now that I have your attention.... ha!

Yes it is true, today was absolutely beautiful and everybody was outside enjoying the weather, yes everybody, I counted all of them while I was out! Ha. For many reasons the first day of Spring was great! I was able to open the windows and air out the house, do some light cleaning, exercise, put out my deck furniture... just a glorious day! And the dogs just play outside all day, so free running and playing Frisbee and soccer, yes I did say soccer, the Bostons, they love it! But their most favorite part of the day is on patrol! Barking and growling at every movement they witness out our front windows!
They have taken over one of our side chairs and made themselves known to all who reside in our neighborhood. It is actually quite amusing, until about the 10th time in a one hour time frame! Beanie means business, if she caught up to you, you'd be a goner- she'd lick you to death! Roxy, on the other hand, as cute as she is showing her teeth, I like to say smiling, don't worry about a thing, she won't even be able to catch up with you. She is a bit overweight and can't get the speed like she use too. Really, she couldn't win a race with a snail. That's why she's my lap dog! I love her, all of her! And Maggie, the second of her kind in this posse. Yes, she is a beast, she likes to use the gnaw and claw technique. She will get you with those puppy teeth and claw at your calves until you give her some love, and then when you cave she will rip your heart out with those big brown puppy eyes! See this is a sure fine security system, you don't stand a chance with Watch Dog! Ha!

P.S. Sorry to all of my neighbors that encountered all of this love coming from my front windows today! What can I say, the dogs are out to protect their house and their Mommy!

Rusty, Monica, and Me of Course!

Sometimes a good relaxing night with friends is all you need! Tonight was just that! I had a quick dinner over Rusty and Monica's and then we just hung out. We chatted it up about everything and anything! We watched some reality ice skating show and then off and on we were into some detective mystery show about some crime, you know the kind I am talking about, like a documentary, unsolved mystery, law and order, 60 minutes thing! Ha! But we didn't finish it so I have no idea what happened! Oh well, I guess in my case it is still a mystery! Ha! It is times like these that make priceless memories. With friends there is so much more to offer when you are doing nothing together. That's what's fabulous about my friendship here, no expectation, always pure fun!! Loved hanging out tonight guys, as always, TTYL! Ha!

A Musical Summons

-Hans Christian Andersen

Threw some chords together

the combination D-E-F

it's who I am, it's what I do

and I was gonna lay it down for you

Imagine a dirt road, full of potholes,

with a creek bank and some cain poles

catching channel cat

I'm coming out of my cage

and I've been doing just fine

gotta gotta be fine because I want it all

You spin my head right round right round

when you go down when you go down town

Its been the longest winter without you

you didn't know where to turn to

see somehow I can't forget you

We've had some fun, yes we've had our ups and downs

Been down that rock road

but here we are still around

I get up in the morning and I see you face girl

your looking so good everything's in place

I'm not surprised, not everything lasts

I've broken my heart so many times

I've stopped keeping track

I never knew there'd come a day

when I'd be saying to you

don't let this good love slip away

OHAH OHAH OHAH OHAH OHAH

why do fools fall in love

why do birds sing so gay

Don't wish it away

don't look at it like it's forever

between you and me I could honestly say

that things could only get better

I've been meaning to tell you

I've got this feeling that won't subside

I look at you and I fantasize

Ohhhohhh somethings gotta hold of me now

its a feeling burning like a log on fire

Do you recognize any of the songs in this compilation. These are verses on all of the songs on my newest CD Mix! Give it a go, see if you can figure it out! It's Thursday and it's fun!

Meet Me in St. Louis

Meet Me in St. Louis Poster

I am very excited to see this in a few weeks at the theater! I bought tickets for my mother-in-law and I for her birthday! I have always wanted to see this on stage and now I will have my chance. The big dresses, the songs, its so southern, but its not!? Ha! Anyway I am very excited. Performers have such talent that is amazing to see, and quite a bit of nerve! I am not sure I could sing and dance and whatever in front of a crowd. This is also a dinner theater so that should be fun as well. The last live dinner theater show I went to was in Paris with Danny, Cabaret, yes I am sure this will be very different! Old movies gone stage, I love it!

Sleeping Beauty(ies)

Roxanne, Beanie, and Magnolia sweetly dreaming...
Roxanne dreams that "when I wake up I really won't be wearing this silly lobster costume"...
Beanie dreams that "these pillows are like camouflage and Maggie won't be able to find me and drive me nuts"...
Maggie dreams that "I am T-rex (see the paws, ha) and I am the biggest baddest dog in the house, don't mess with me"...
And me, Julie, I'll be dreaming my dreams of you, Danny...

Weekend Renovations

Danny's gone, now how to keep busy? Hmmm, a little redecorating is always fun! I spent the greater half of yesterday evening transforming our home into an up to date haven! New curtains, bed linens, wall art, throw rugs, and dishes have entered into the Bankert household. Danny won't know this is home when he comes back! Ha! Actually he is used to change, I am a fanatic and always feel the need for a spontaneous make-over. We've lived in our house for almost 2 years, 3 rooms have been totally repainted, we've had 5 bed coverings, throw rugs, too many to count, 5 shower curtains (for 2 bathrooms) and our walls have seen countless amounts of artwork! We like to be relevant! And in saying "we" Danny would say to me, What do you have a mouse in your pocket? Ha! But really he doesn't mind!

This is our sun room, it acts as our dining room. These are the second set of curtains this room has seen. I know it is hard to see but they are a great blue color with a feather pattern. I love Pier One. It was just too dark and I wanted to brighten it up a bit. I know your thinking how will curtains brighten the room, it's called a sun room right?

Well just take a look for yourself! These beige curtains just make it pop, and Hydrangeas are my absolute favorite! I am so, so happy with the turn-out! While you cannot see, I bought the 95 inch curtains so they drape onto the floor and it offers a romantic feel to the room.

In the past 2 years we have been here We, more likely, I, have broken a lot of dishes or they have chipped. So it was time for a change! These are the new dish patterns I got! Target has some very cute housewares!

What do you think? The colors go great in our kitchen! The other stuff is just normal, brown rugs for the kitchen, although I still can't find a runner, a new comforter and new artwork for the bedroom that accents our chandelier nicely (which by the way we added when we bought the house).

Ceiling fan? Chandelier? Ceiling fan? Chandelier? Danny's away most of the time, yup Chandelier it is! Ha! But don't feel sorry for Danny, he got to keep this interesting piece... yeah see that thing in the middle of our E-center, the lamp, the diver lamp, yeah that's his chandelier! Ha!

It is always fun to try out something new and to have a little decorating edge. It is home and we are truly blessed to have it. Tell me about your decorating sense? I would love to be in the know!
