Kayaking +

Have you ever been Kayaking? My husband and his family enjoy this very much! While it is fun, I do not find it relaxing like my in-laws! Ha! That is a tough upper body work-out! It is fun to spend time with the family though!

These are our Kayaks, we have two singles and Danny's parents have a tandem, so when we all go together I usually go with my mother-in-law, and the guys take the singles! The lake was quiet, and although is was sweltering, there was a gentle breeze which made it bearable!

After kayaking we had a picnic by the lake, fun as well! It's just nice to be outdoors enjoying the elements, my favorite sun and water! Ha!

Surprise!

Tonight as I was getting ready to go out with my in-laws for dinner, I was contemplating all the possibilities of exciting things to do afterwards! Gelato, evening walk, take in a show downtown... anything would be fun!

Let me back up a few hours.... Danny got the call he would have to leave a day early to go offshore. So he booked a flight, then we ran errands. We ate lunch at the Altland House, and ran more errands... came home unpacked groceries, he made some more frames, mowed the yard, changed his flight, because he got a call that he didn't have to come until Monday, we got dressed and back out the door for dinner!

So I put on my yellow dress with the white polka dots, first time, fits great! Love it! He wore a vibrant green collared shirt and we were off. Half way to the restaurant, SURPRISE! I said aren't we going the wrong way and he said were were going to a new place I have wanted to try out downtown! It was the perfect romantic moment; dressed to kill and totally taken by surprise! Reservations and all; yes gals, I have to brag, my guys pretty great! So, an extra day with my husband and a wonderful date! Now it is in for a quiet evening at home, of all the things to do on this beautiful night, this is right where I choose to be! No regrets!

A Summertime Favorite

I absolutely love lights in the night, for entertaining or relaxation. Summer evenings lit up by soft lighting paints a beautiful picture. Lanterns especially, hanging among a soft wind, the light flickering in the sky, it portrays a whimsical chic feel! It's romantic, it's pacifying, it's curious, it's a dash of summer!

ANNAPOLIS TODAY

Footprints in Annapolis, you will find ours there! Ha! We spent all afternoon downtown, a beautiful boat ride in the harbor, the Naval Academy, all the fun shoppes! It was great! Danny and I met up with his Sister and her boyfriend at O'Briens. The food was good, and the atmosphere, Irish! Ha!

Annapolis is the sailing capitol of the world, a harbor full of sails is a beautiful sight! The architecture is amazing downtown, cobblestone streets, and uneven brick, every towne a different color and the shutters just off a little! Simply Chic and fabulous! Unique is how I would describe the shoppes, all individually owned one of a kind. Anything you were looking for you could find. I loved the pottery stores we visited! We even heard/watched the Naval Academy Band play at the end of the dock! It was the perfect ending to our visit! I couldn't be happier that I am able to spend the week with Danny, and make fabulous memories together! Thanks God!

So tomorrows adventures bring, well we still aren't sure yet, but I am sure you'll hear about it whatever it is! Ha! Until then...

All work and no play, NO thanks!

Today Danny and I went tubing in Monkton! It was just us, but it was chilaxin! Ha! Just off of the NCR trail there you can rent tubes or if you have your own, your set! The rail trail has so much to offer, love it!
All week, we have little adventures planned! Jeep Show check! Flower picking, check! Tubing, check! This week has been non-stop already, non-stop awesome that is!Ha! Then tomorrow we are going to Annapolis to meet Danny's sister and boyfriend for dinner, but have decided to make a day of it! I can't wait to catch up with them. Wednesday is like a free day, we haven't quite decided! Thursday is my work day, because the husband is going crabbing! And Friday leads into the weekend, which we have multiple options but nothing is concrete! Well now that you know my itinerary this week, you'll have to stay tuned for the pictures, to be posted...
