This is a Christian Blog side project my friend Ashley and I have been working on through our church.  While I have been unfaithful to my personal blog, I have dedicated time to  this blog, which is probably why my blog is neglected.  I am usually writing somewhere.  Maybe these posts will encourage you today!

I'm Back!


Well, it definitely was a crazy week last week! But it sure was fun and I would do it again in a heart beat! Ha! I had my spa day, went out to eat with a good friend, had the gals over, then there was the beach and it was just great!  I am really enjoying life.  I am thankful for my life.  This life, this family, these friends, this job, this everything.  It's just been different staying with my family these past few weeks, I have been able to enjoy the simplicity of everything.  And when I return home, it is just so welcoming.  It gives perspective of how my husband feels when he comes home.  It really gives persepctive beyond that!  Does anyone know what I am saying.  It's just happiness, it's just feeling blessed!

This & That

On call- all weekend!  But I can't complain, it really hasn't been bad considering I am on call for 2 different things, our CPOE project and my department! Ha!  Today was out fall picnic at church!  The weather was absolutely beautiful, perfect for a fall picnic.  It was a great time for fellowship and the football was fun too! (I watched, not played)  It is always fun to be around friends and family!   This afternoon I did some things around the house; entertained the pups, baking, cleaning... and I did watch some TV.  I go through spurts and this spurt is watching reruns of Charmed on DVD.  Rose McGowan, love her!   Then tonight I did my run and had to finish up some work from my weekend on call for CPOE (Which is going great, a few bumps, and a lot of frustration with change , but overall great for week 1).  The best part about the weekend is that it isn't over quite yet, I am off tomorrow for an appointment.  So one more day to get it all in!   Hope you had a great day and weekend and salute to the week! Home

Home, ahhh.  Isn't it great to be home, return to home I guess is a better way of putting it.  I was at my parents last week and yesterday evening when I walked through my front door, ahhh I was home!   It was refreshing, welcoming.  Danny and I have done our best to really make our townhouse, home.  It's difficult sometimes because there is minimal privacy in a large community, and a community of townhomes, well enough said! Ha!  But we have created a nice outdoor space which I love, and we have really worked on the inside to bring out both of our personalities.  We love it, it's home, our home.  It's funny, when Danny comes home I always ask him if he thinks the basement has an odd smell, not good, not bad, just different.  He always tells me no it has that new home smell (because our town is less than 3 years old).  Well yesterday coming home and taking my laundry down and unpacking the pups things, I realized what he was talking about, I didn't smell that different odor, just a new home smell.  And the aroma of my house was incredible, it was warm and welcoming and,  ahhh, home.  What a blessing, Thanks God!

It's Sunday, All Day!

Shop Shop Shop!  Today Monica and I had some much needed gal shopping time after church!  It was wonderful!  I got some clothes, things for the house, things for the pups, you know the usual for me! Ha!   It was just nice to spend time together and catch up! Although we see each other all the time...  but there is always something new!  Its funny how a weekend of being surrounded by friends and family makes you feel so great! Thanks God!  

And from Friday's post, CPOE go-live is this week and work is likely to be crazy! And I am on call for this week, all week for support.  I am moving home to my parent house for the week! The dogs, me, much of our stuff, it is going to be chaos probably.  But they live so much closer to work and since I'll have longer hours  then usual it is better.  So good-bye home for now, see you on Friday! It's sorta like going on vacation, but not! Ha!

Sisters, in theory?

The 3 Palmer Sisters!  Actually 2 sisters and 1 fabulous BFF, me, or so they say! Lisa, Amy, & Me. But we always refer to us as The 3 Palmer Sisters! Ha!  Last night we celebrated Lisa and Amy's aunts 50th birthday!  It was a surprise and she definitely was that! We had a fun time!   I am not sure about the live blue grass band but they did make for wonderful memories! Ha! Another to add to the list gals, amazing all we have already- 28 years worth!  It's always fun to spend time with good friends and family. These are the moments in which I am truly thankful, insanity!  Do you have those gals friends;  that you have known forever, that you may see all the time or rarely but when you see them it's like you haven't ever separated for a moment?  If so you are very blessed, because I know I am!  XO
