Beach Weekend

Slow posts this weekend, I am off to the beach to support my Sister in law.  She is hosting a Special olympics fundraiser this weekend so I am going down with the family.  I am so blessed to be surrounded by family.  My family, my in-laws.. there is just so much to be thankful for!  Have a fabulous weekend, until we meet again!

C25K

I have faithfully been participating in the training program Couch to 5k.  I have kept this on the d-low, seeing as how I am the slowest most horrible runner ever! And I am not even exaggerating! Ha!  Well maybe a little now that I have improved.  Nonetheless I have made it to week 6 and am pressing on, still slow but I can do it.  I push myself and during the run I just want to die, but then afterwards what a great feeling.

I can run for 20 minutes straight now.  Yes, while some of you may laugh (marathoners specifically, Ha) this is progress for me and something to be proud of.  When I began 7 weeks ago (I repeated a week, 5 I think) I could hardly run a minute without breathing so hard I thought I was going to need pulmonary resuscitation.  So yes, 20 minutes is a big deal and it is about 1.5 miles!  And with that being said I have only done that twice.

 I am excited to  continue on this venture, I thought I would be satisfied with a 5K but I am now considering bridging to 10K.  Then may be I will go even further.  God has blessed me with the strength to get this far, and I can do all things through Him who strengthens me right! And this paired with SBD= gut poof! Ha, or so I am praying.

Where Did My Clavicles Go?

Here I go again, please pray for me, encourage me, scream at me, whatever it takes... I need to lose the gut! Ha! This past Sunday I have started South Beach again, this time with more intense exercise. So far so good, I can say that 2 days in right! Ha! I just am struggling so bad with this weight creeping up, my clothes don't fit, I have no umph to be fashion forward- yeah it's pretty bad for me.  I really just could use some encouragement.  I do really great and then poof I stop after a few weeks and gain everything I lost back plus a few more.  I ma sure I have said before I am the biggest I have ever been, bigger then when I said it before! I do not have kids so I cannot use baby weight as an excuse, it's all food weight- you know the McDonalds type! Ha! 15-20 lbs is my goal-  So please please please help motivate me all I want is to see my clavicles again when I look in the mirror, is that too much to ask?!  Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?

Blog Neglect

I am sure glad this is a blog and not a child, I would so be taken in for neglect! Ha! What can I say life has been crazy busy and I just haven't found the time.  It's been a good crazy, but just crazy! Ha! Thank you to all of you who still are following :/

It has been work work work for the past few weeks.  This is my first full week back home after staying with my parents.  I have this week and half of next with this project go-live and then it is out of the command center and back to my cubie!  I will be glad to get back there and into my work routine.

So here I am, still blogging... I will try to be better, fingers crossed! Ha!

This is a Christian Blog side project my friend Ashley and I have been working on through our church.  While I have been unfaithful to my personal blog, I have dedicated time to  this blog, which is probably why my blog is neglected.  I am usually writing somewhere.  Maybe these posts will encourage you today!

I'm Back!


Well, it definitely was a crazy week last week! But it sure was fun and I would do it again in a heart beat! Ha! I had my spa day, went out to eat with a good friend, had the gals over, then there was the beach and it was just great!  I am really enjoying life.  I am thankful for my life.  This life, this family, these friends, this job, this everything.  It's just been different staying with my family these past few weeks, I have been able to enjoy the simplicity of everything.  And when I return home, it is just so welcoming.  It gives perspective of how my husband feels when he comes home.  It really gives persepctive beyond that!  Does anyone know what I am saying.  It's just happiness, it's just feeling blessed!
