Fab Food & Friends!

Tonight we went out to eat with our best friends Rus and Monica! We went to The White Rose in York! Good food, great atmosphere! I had a grilled veggie sandwich, absolutely delish! And they make their own chips, amazing!

Rusty and Monica, all smiles! We truly are blessed with great friends! We catch up on the latest details of life and the lives of others! Ha! These two can vouch for the Reuben and the BLT tonight! Ha!

Monica and I have known each other for so long! We encourage the best and the worst in each other! Ha! That's so true, all of our fad diets go awry when we are together! The shopping, the chats, the longs drives, and the mid day crisis interventions we supply to each other, only a true best friends knows this kind of craziness! I am a lucky gal! There is nothing like a fabulous girlfriend!

Hmmm? I asked my husband about his expression, it just makes me laugh, Although I am not quite sure how to interpret it. Tonight I won't try! Ha! Anticipation of the crab cake sandwich maybe? Ha, so I gave it a try anyway! Ha! Although it was good it was small, he probably would've had 3 to fill him. Thank Goodness for appetizers, right?!

Don't you just have those places you love, this one is on my list! Now, it's off to the basement to see the homemade frames my husband is working on! He loves to make these and paint them up, and actually I love them too, they are just perfect for our home, the crazy colors, the designs, the art we frame, it all says Danny and Julie's style and it's fabulous of course! Ha!

Okay, so maybe the title threw you off a bit! Ha! Got Steamed Crabs, better? If you are a Maryland Native like me, then you know all about Steamed Crabs! Delish! The guys went crabbing today so it was crabs for dinner! They hit the spot definitely! Crab prices this season are pretty high some places, so when Danny is home and they go out it's great, they get some really big ones! The seasoning is my favorite part!

A few tips when you are eating them:

Don't bother with the mess

Get deep in the nooks and crannies, thats where the best seasoned meat is! Ha!

Don't give up on the claws, there is plenty there!

You cannot stop at just one!

Never had them? Your missing out, Don't they look so good? Wait til you smell them! Ha!

A day Late, or 6 days early? Hmmm

Well after my BF Monica convinced me, I decided to do this, a day late but oh well. Does that make me a pessimist, "a day late"? Well I'll opt for the other, 6 days early! BUT Now lets focus on today Wednesday!

Wednesday, the middle of the week for many, a great day for me, Day 1 of my husband being home! Danny flew in late last night, a surprise because I didn't expect him until today. It was so great to get that call, Babe I need you to pick me up at the airport... tonight! I have to admit though I was so tired and to make that airport drive was not at the top of my to do list yesterday! But Of course I did it! For him, anything. So it's work for the next few days and then all play for the weekend... not quite sure what we are doing, Riverwalk in Harrisburg came up as well as a few other places... We'll see what happens! It's just great to be together!

We are getting new cells while he is home, I am going on his plan to save money, our single plans are outrageous and we will save half of what we currently pay each month. Which is good, although I am not the one to ever talk about saving... I'd rather spend! Ha! He has talked me into the HTC EVO, we have heard good things and the little time I have played around with it and researched it looks very nice! I am excited, I love new techy stuff! Ha! Check it out!

Looks intriguing. I am sure I will love it! We were going tonight but there is this whole PA/MD phone number conflict, so we have to do it later... so much for my new gadget anticipation... but now I must decide Black or White EVO? Decisions decisions... If its this hard to choose a cell color, what will I do when I have to name a baby?Ha! Not prego though, don't get too excited! Ha!

All Things Boston, and I'm not talking the City!

I am so going to look for these on ebay! Although, I am not sure I'd use them for spices, they look old and EWW, just thinking about it!

I love all of my dogs so much, 2 Bostons and a Toy Rat Terrier! But my absolute all time favorite dog breed is the Boston Terrier, no question about it! As you can see, they are a classic! Ha! What is you favorite dog?

Martha stewart says that having fresh flowers in your house boosts your mood, makes you feel more happy! I believe it! I love having freshly cut flowers in my house. I have them sitting in our family room and in the kitchen, right next to the sink. Don't you just feel warm looking at them here?Ha! Flowers, are a small piece of creation that you can bring right into your home; the beauty, the aroma, the welcoming feeling they add. I just cannot be without them! These are the ones I picked up this week! A fresh summer bunch, and the leaves are so lush and green, the color of my grass pre- drought conditions! Ha!

Last week, I bought sunflowers, not really my favorite, but when I saw them I couldn't pass them up. They are doing great, I still have a handful from the bunch. Just look at these!

Do you keep fresh flowers in your home? If not just give it one try, you will be addicted, ahh the wonders of domestic bliss! Ha!
