It's chocolate, you can't refuse! Ha!

While I admit I am not a good cook, baking is my niche! Ha!  I love to bake, I am always looking for a great
dessert recipe to try out.  Tonight as I was rummaging through I came across these, don't they look delish!  With the holidays just around the corner I am just feeling the oven calling out to me.  Earlier this week I mad a
homemade apple pie, I found a recipe online and went from there.  The apples I had picked at the orchard over the weekend were the perfect type. Well I guess I will have to try my hand at these cupcakes, maybe before he leaves- but we need to finish the pie first! Ha!

4,3,2,1 Welcome Home!

How do you prepare for when family comes in from out of town? That is the question of the day! I worked from home today and just finished up and now I am conjuring my list of to do's before the husband comes home Tuesday Night! I can't wait, of course, but, ooh there it is, but I feel like there is so much to do; cleaning, baking, yard, dog grooming... if you have read my blog before you know that I am totally OCD when it comes to my husband coming into town. I like everything at the house to be perfect! It's just me, he could care less really if the house looked like a tornado ripped through, remember this is the commercial diver who lives on a boat and shares a small room with others in tight living quarters, and yeah I think you get it! Ha!
Well I started with the dogs, nails clipped check, baths check, collars washed check, and new bandannas, I'll pick them up when I am out tonight! Then I moved into the bedroom, linens changed check, Room dusted check, Master Bath Cleaned check... well and that is it because here I am now- blogging which is not on the list by the way! Ha!
It's funny these are the mundane things I do weekly, well not the dog grooming, but the cleaning and it just seems like I go overboard when Danny is coming home- kinda like having guests come in from out of town or people over to your home, you always go the extra mile to make it just right.
And this time it has to be perfect because it will be the first time he sees our new floors! Everything has to be in order, so I need to get back to work! Oh and I am not complaining I love to get things in order for him, it is all a part of my Welcome home Husband Countdown! Ha

An Unwelcome Guest

Oh My, what do you get when you take this sweet face and add an 8 legged creature to it's forehead, 1 freaked out Mama! Ha! Little Magnolia, our 9 month Sweet Girl Boston Puppy, came in to the house tonight with a huge spider on her head, it was larger than a pea, but smaller than a golf ball, HUGE! Yuck! So I screamed! As if screaming is really going to help? But its what I did : /
Then, I shooshed Maggie back outside and then she realized it was there and went ballistic! It jumped, yes jumped off her head and onto the deck! EGH! Maggie lunged for eat jaws wide open like Cujo, and luckily it quickly shimmied through the cracks of the deck! Meanwhile as I am yelling "No Maggie No!" I realized you are in a quiet development- Gee I am sure the neighbors love me! Ha!
The Moral: Maggie, sweet little girl pups don't eat bugs, please stop trying. And please do not ever carry them into our home again, especially not those kind- your better then that! Ha!

DISNEY. CHIPOTLE. WII

Working from home is great! I am so blessed to have the flexibility with my job that I have. Although sometimes I take it fore granted I really should not because it truly is a blessing especially living 1+ hours away from work! So today was one of those days! Love it!
So this was today, now this week I just did this and that, you know the routine. Actually, I hate to use the word routine, routine is so boring, I love to spice it up! Always try something new, I am not afraid of change by any means! Ha! Just the opposite, bring it on! I have been enjoying the new floors, which yes Monica, I do need to post before and after photos! They fit nicely in our home, and I feel like I live in a new home! I am very happy; I cannot wait for Danny to see them! He'll just love them!

I ate dinner out a night or two this week, Chipotle- one word- DELISH! I love the salad it is incredible- thx Amy for the addiction! Ha! And great pick Rus and Mon! And it was a great night to eat on the patio there, that fall weather is peaking around the corner! Don't you just love it! I know I do, I blogged about it once already this week! Ha! But back to Chipotle, so good! The END!
Of course I didn't eat there 2 times in 1 week, last night I had dinner at Rusty and Monica's house, and then we played Wii Mario Bros, the new one- which is a blast! Funny, me Julie, never a video game girl, hits the 2o somethings and it's sooo fun- all of it. Mario, Guitar Hero, Boxing- so now I am a Wii Nerd. But that's okay, my husband already calls me a Computer Nerd because I am a Nurse Informaticist. It's great one more thing that makes me, me! Ha!

New Super Mario Bros. <span class=

I have some fun plans for the weekend, tonight well up in the air still... thats great fun right?Ha! But tomorrow I have a evening cook-out at friends from church, and this and that in the morning- breakfast with Amma, shopping... Then Sunday is church and whatever I want to do! I love the weekends, No work and all Fun! Yay! Oh Oh Oh and the best part is I think there is 1 more week until Danny come home!!!!!

Falling into Autumn

I absolutely love what Autumn has to offer! That one perfect sweater, the colors, the crisp feel in the air, It's just wonderful! It is definitely my favorite season! Although there is always a quietness in our small town, I think it is perfectly placed. We can enjoy every part of every season to the fullest. There is something about those end of summer nights when the weather is cooling off that make me crave fall so much more, and tonight is one of them. Sitting out on our deck in the cool evening air, the sunset painting the foreground, and a hot cup of apple cider.... a fabulous end to a pretty good day! And to think I will get to enjoy this so much more as the seasons are about to switchover! Don't get me wrong I am a summer gal too, but when is so near that you can feel it in the air, well goodbye summer, hello fall! What season do you like best?

A Heartfelt Impression

So here I am, I am back! There is one thing I feel impressed to blog about tonight. First and foremost I want to give thanks for all the blessings in my life. I am so blessed for God's grace on my life! I came home today and thought about all the blessings, my husband, my family, my home, my friends, my pups, my job... and the list goes on and on. It is amazing how evident it is some days that everything is a gift from God. I always know it but some days it is so much more in my face!

It's funny how you ask yourself if God's grace is sufficient? What am I willing to sacrifice, a little or the max? I love this song how it just brings that home, " I wanna be one of them" How true... I heard this a year or two ago and forgot about it, loved it but just forgot it, then the other Sunday we sang it in church and I have thought about it's meaning everyday since!

I just love it! God has given me so much and shown me such grace and I just haven't done that lately. I have been more me me me then I should be, it's time for a change and I have definitely made the right steps to get back to the heart of the matter, because oh yes "When the saints go marching in, I WANT TO BE ONE OF THEM" I am thankful for the small steps I have begun to take to return and thankful that I can see the hand of God in them. My prayer, it continues....
