Snowy Day Pot Roast: mmm mmm good!

A simple serving for one, that's lasts all week!  Ha!  The other day I went into work late for some meetings because of the snowfall we had overnight.  Before I left, I put this together in our crock for later that evening!  And yes I still have some, and yes it was delish!  This year I have been trying to prep my meals on the weekend and have them last through the week for dinner/lunch and substitute sandwiches and salad for when I am so so sick of eating the same thing- which is pretty often! Ha!  I love variety, especially when it comes to eating!  So far I have done well, but I can feel by the time wednesday approaches I am definitely ready for soemthing new!

With my running I am trying to maintain  healthier eating and better placement of carbs pre and post my run (thats what I have read).  Having my meals prepared in advance helps me to get home, eat, let it settle, run... you get the point.    Anyway, tonight it's a chicken, rice, & veggie casserole.  I'll let you know how it goes!

New in the New Year:2011

So this week, my new in the new year, is my new cut!  Reinventing yourself is a great way to keep life fun and exciting.  I have said before I absolutely love change, it is exciting, new, anything but mundane! Ha!  So here it is.... introducing my pixie.

Thats right, I had my stylist, Lisa cut it all off!  I really like it, it is fun, but i am still getting used to it and playing to style it differently.  So far everyone has liked it, but you never know people may just be "playing nice" Ha!  But I like it and that is really all that matters.  Oh yeah and my husband really likes it!  And as long as I look good for him... right!

So what are you doing new in this new year?  Whatever it is I hope it's fun!

6.1 in 65

6.1, not to shabby!  Yes this is my furthest run distance this year, ha EVER! 65 minutes.  I love it. Thanks God!  And it felt great, so refreshing so free.  The snow was a new obstacle, but I managed to do just fine.  I am so blessed that the running has been going well. The prayer, the playlist, the rewards, amazing!  Heres to running in 2011, Mwah!

Multitasked, check!

House cleaned, groceries away, laundry done,  and calzones in the over for lunch!  I am feeling a great sense of accomplishment today.  Love it!  And now I am not sure what to get into...hmmm.  A run is definitely looking good in the near future, it is crisp and beautiful out with the snow on the ground here.  Well, I am going to continue with my day! Have a great weekend ; )

Pretty Little Liars

And it's back, Pretty Little Liars, yes I admit it I watch it and love it! Ha! I think I may read the books!  Santa Baby got me a reader for Christmas and I can't wait to try it out, so this may be the perfect start!  Monday while I was off there was a marathon prior to the  new season start, and no I didn't watch them all!  I caught the last season episode so I could remember and the new episode.  It's a good thriller, if you want to call it that.  It's ratings are probably from middle and high school girls, and me of course! Ha! Oh well I am not ashamed, it's good drama, and that's what I like! I'm sure you have your closet TV shows too!

RAmBliNGs

Sad to report, but it is my last day of vacation :(  Tomorrow morning is all business bright and early!  I have had a wonderful time with my husband, family, and friends this past week and am sad to see it go.  Although it sure is quiet at home since my baby left this morning so a change of pace may be just what I need.

I did some shopping today, gotta spend those gift cards, Ha!  I got some great deals.  And thanks to Santa hubby, I got a fabulous pedicure at my place!  Tonight I made some lasagna for the week, I figured the carbs would be great for my running and it would be quick!  Love it!

So, new year and 3 days in, and I just have to report that I ran 4.88 miles last night in 55 minutes.  I have never run that distance before, it felt great, I felt great afterwards and I would've kept going if dinner wasn't waiting for me inside, thanks Danny!  The crab cakes were delicious, yum!   I am looking forward to what this year will bring with my running!  I will keep everyone posted!  I am addicted, totally!

I am looking forward to some snow, it's January lets go storms.  I love it, bring it on.  After a few days in deep creek lake with continual snow I have just been waiting for it here at home, yeah, Ha, still waiting!  While Danny was home we planned for a small vacation in March, we will be traveling south with family, it is much anticipated and it cannot come soon enough, and yes I am just coming off of vacation, Ha!  You can never get too much of a good thing right?  Until next time...

One more thing, I really need to take new pics, this is an old one and I even got a new Nikon for Christmas.. and I haven't even used it, pathetic know.  I'll pick up the slack! Ha!
