Finances are such a headache. While we have never had an issue with our finances in the past, it seems as though one of us has gotten the bright idea to budget and really crack down. We can truly pay our bills ans smile while we do it because we have minimal debt, well no credit card debt that is. Of course we have our mortgage, and 1 car payment, and I do have a school loan. The only other debt we have is our hardwood floors. But making the payments is just something we do and have plenty of money left to "blow" even after tithing. So recently, I started taking a class on Finances by Dave Ramsey. And since then it seems there is no money. What is going on? Okay, so now I guess I am being tested because I have never been so stressed about finances until now. I am on a mission to now only have a mortgage payment as debt. It's funny that being so carefree has me know questioning how much is that and send a little extra here, always tithing and saving first.
I hate it actually, and I hope it gets better because I am just so ahhhh over every little thing, it's insane. And I was never this way, just my husband. It's funny how you look at things differently. And it's funny because we don't even have the hard savings piece of this class to do, we are well prepared with the emergency fund discussed in class.
I have my cash set aside and then it's like this happens and this, and while I never batted an eye before I don't want to use my credit card at all. And I have done good with my cash flow I have set aside but there seems like so many things have come at one time and I am stressed. I would much rather go back to my routine and have no stress, but I keep feeling like I should stick with it. I guess there is a lesson to be learned and I am trying....
